Plows are for amateurs

I have used plows for almost 50 years. I had both a plow and snowblower for about a decade. I used the blower when I had to, the plow the rest of the time.

Circumstances differ. The only amateur is the one that thinks one type of machine fits all situations.

Agree. I have both a blade and blower. Each has a place

Do you have tire chains and rear ballast?
With 4wd and a flat driveway, you might get away without. Might.
Looking at the picture, you always have “plan B” lying on the ground behind the tractor.

Have a plow on front and a blower on back. Small storms get the plow. Big storms get the blower. We are getting 18"-20" tonight. Glad I have the blower even if I have to use it going backwards. I bought the blower 2 years ago, and every storm since has dropped 4-6". Looking forward to testing it out on my first big storm.

I sure don't envy you guys for having to deal with snow. I had to plow snow here in TN once. I used my landscape rake just because it happened to be on the tractor. I worked pretty good. If we got 18-20" of snow here, there would be no urgent reason to plow it since there would be no where to go. Everything would be shutdown. I suppose one should in case of an emergency anyway.

Happy plowing/blowing to you guys. Stay warm!

When the drifted snow is too much for normal plowing or blowing, we get the other amateur neighbor.

I run the plow, blower combo on my Bolens/I semi. I call it the mullet, business up front, party in the back!

The dozer would be great if I didn't have pavement.
18" this morning. Town plow made quite a pile at the end of the driveway.party1.jpeg

Now that made me laugh!
I'm glad you saw the humor in it, that's how I intended it... lol

I've used blowers and blades for many years to remove snow, there's no perfect tool, that's for sure, but this one comes close,

I don't even have to chain it up, but I do realize that not everyone has a tractor that heavy...
