Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Plowing snow with a FEL

   / Plowing snow with a FEL #21
Not a bad question. In most cases. I pull forward. If the snow is so deep, 12" or above, you need to work far off to the sides to clear space for the grader to push the material when you finally get to the middle of the road.

Now with that in mind, this places you off the drive on your first pass! On my hills you might not get back on w/out 4x4. In that case I flip the blade 180 deg and push. This keeps the tractor on the drive and the angle even pushes the tractor back in the center. Pain in the neck!!

I had a friend make a few quick passes one time with a big snow. It looked like a river bed. Then the next day, 10" more inches came. Theren was no place to it!

So with big snow start wide
