I have seached this to no avail.
Can anyone suggest a winch with a primary goal of plow lifting for speed?
I have a very old badland 5000 lb on my rtv900 now and it has already tripped out on me for temp i believe and even when it operates well it is super slow.
My goals are a winch that moves as fast as possible for my plain jane plow.
Are there any winches that have rapid release because dropping the plow is a major time consumer with my current set up. My winch goes out just as slow as it pulls in.

I use a Warn 2500 lb. winch for raising and lowering the blade on my atv, it seems plenty fast to me.

I have used a Superwinch which is slower. The winch held up fine but I would go thru a couple switches each year.

If using just for the plow, make a spacer to increase the diameter of the drum and shorten the cable.

Use a chain instead of cable. It will wind faster and it will not "Bird Cage" on the winch like cable will.

I'm assuming your plow only weighs a couple hundred pounds. If you have your spool is fairly full of cable, you should be getting at least 20 FPM out of it when lightly loaded. If you are raising the plow 1 foot and lifting all the way out on the end of the plow, that would mean 3 seconds. How fast do you want it to move?

If a 5000# winch is tripping out on temperature just from lifting your plow, you might have a problem with your winch. Slow speed and tripping that easily make me wonder if it's just worn out. (Badlands winches are a decent value for the price, but they are not exactly known for extra-long life.)

It's possible you could be overheating it if you are always operating it in short blips. The inrush current when starting a motor is more than the "steady-state" current from just running it. Try to avoid rapidly repeated short blips. For example raise it in one continuous motion rather than several short bumps.
