I did have to grind it down first, a combination of both the bench grinder and an angle grinder for the tough-to-get-at areas did the job. A few strokes with the file and it was ready for re-threading. I left a couple of original threads at the outer ends to ensure the same "start" to the threads.

I must have pretty close to the right amount of threaded area, I got them pretty tight and nothing showed any tendency to strip.

Now that it's ready for adjustment, I'm willing to bet I won't need to move it at all..:)

Looking at that repair made me think and believe that Chilly could weld silly putty to a windshield and make it stick!!, looks perfect and expertly done, thanks for posting.

Thanks Bruce,

I am strictly an amateur when it comes to welding, but I enjoy doing it. Lucky I was able to get the adjustment, it needed quite a bit to get the plow working right.
