I've started looking at manual pipe notchers and I was hoping this group could give some feedback from personal experiences. I don't want a holesaw type of notcher. And I would rather not use a chopsaw or portaband. I've been looking at the Vogel Econo Arc-Fit 25, the Baileigh TN-200m, the Williams Lowbuck #4, and the Heck WFN3. The Vogel and Lowbuck appear to be very similar in design as does the Heck and Baileigh seem to be very similar. Does anyone have personal experience with any of these and be willing to provide thier feedback ? Is there another brand that I've left off the list that I should consider ? I'm looking for something that is easy to use (i.e. any hired hand could jump right in using) and produces consistent notches without having to adjust very often. Thank you for your time.

About a year or so ago I was reading a very detailed thread on one of the welding sites. The Williams Lowbuck notcher hands down got the best reviews.

Thanks for the feedback ! Any idea which welding site you might have seen that thread ? I'd love to read through it. Thanks.
