I've had four snow falls. First in October - last was four days ago. Average about 2 1/2". All four "disappeared" with rain and warm weather the following days. So far, exactly the same as last year. I think they are getting sufficient in the mountains where it really counts.

I drilled through the pipe and plow and bolted the pipe on with 2 grade 8 bolts.
with anything larger then a small plow on a garden tractor, I would assume the pvc would not hold up. So you just layed a 1" pipe down at the bottom of the blade and bolted it thru. Hmmm

I have found that a section of angle iron is easier to connect & works just as well if not better.

I've had my BX for 8 1/2 years now. The first couple years, I just used my bucket to clear snow, replacing 5hp walk behind. Then I got a 5 foot blade for the back end. I stretched it to 6 feet with horse mat as well as protecting the pavement with the mat. I used that for several years. But my yard would be covered by snow piles after a bigger storm.

Last year, I had a pile 6-7 feet deep, 10 feet thick that went all the way around my house, down the driveway, and over the property line, almost 300 feet. The other side of the driveway wasn't quite as long, but was similar. I carried snow down the road because I couldn't dump it any further back. I bought a soft cab last year, and just having a wind break was a HUGE improvement. I need to take it off for mowing, so this works well for me. But the cab limited a lot of my options for a snow blower. I don't have aux hydraulics (yes, could be added for a small fee) and a crank was totally out. I needed the deflector to be adjustable because I'm frequently near houses. I found the Bercomac Pro 1000 blower at 56 inches wide. The default configuration is electric chute and deflector with a joystick all included. I was terribly frustrated because I couldn't find any reviews on it anywhere; looked for hours. The only thing I found was a youtube video and I watched that about 100 times looking for evidence that it was either good or bad. I finally pulled the trigger in September and got it. It comes from a small town in northern Quebec and had to be special ordered. I absolutely love it.

We got somewhere between 9 and 11 inches last night. This was my 4th time out with it and easily the most satisfying. I even got my wife out to try it (at reduced throttle) just so that she might have an idea how to use it should I be gone for some reason.

I couldn't be happier. I did 6 driveways this morning in less time than it used to take me to do 4 with the blade.

 Good videos too. Sounds like everybody likes the new blower !

Like other folks from Colorado our driveway freezes and thaws all winter and as its been posted before the pipe keeps the cutting edge from digging in. Much nicer to use!
Slotted the pipe with a cutting wheel. I wonder if I could use two pipes on my V plow

I was out of town last week and came back to two feet of heavy snow on top of the two to two and a half feet we already had. My neighbor had cleared most of the driveway so I could at least get off the road so last night I finished clearing the driveway and cleared the path to the barn and the area if front of the barn. It took an hour and a half and about a quarter tank of fuel. In places I even had to drop down to low second to push through the snow with only half to three quarters of the blower cutting snow. It gave the tractor a pretty good work out.

Looks like a fun time in WY. Great that you didn't have to hoof it through the snow to get to your Mahindra.. been a long time since having to hike 1/4 mile in my dress shoes to get to the house.. helps to be retired. :D

Neighbors willing to help are great!!

I used chim's idea to use magnets to attach a FEL height marker for setting my plow frame parallel to the road surface. I mounted a piece of 5/16 snow stake across the grill guard and a 5/16 bolt to each loader arm. Some black heat shrink too.

I use the bucket level indicator to set the SSQA plate plumb and the height marker to get a slack chain for plow float and the plow frame parallel to the road which you need so one corner of the cutting edge doesn't dig in and the other come up off the road when the blade is angled. The marker takes the guess work out of resetting after stacking snow or back dragging.

I back drag by dumping the SSQA plate until the SSQA plate contacts the plow frame. That way I can apply down pressure or just add the weight of the loader to the plow by putting the FEL in float like I did here. Gives a good angle on the cutting edge and lifts the plow shoes off the road too.

I really like your plow setup, with the pivot mount behind the loader and vertical float too. I also like the trip edge. Nice work!!
