Thankks for the encouragement guys.I am going to get back out there and give it another try.this is a cherry tree (roughly 2 1/2 feet across).I have dug all the way around the stump and cut all the main roots with a chain saw.I would have thought the stump would at least move by now,but nothing.................maybe I need to go deeper.
Grab a big ole thermos of coffee and go for it.

My 755, with Me on left, and two friends/fellow Parks committee members at the end of a trail work day. Those are pizza boxes in the loader, empty.

Chooglin,

Here's me with one of the bigguns I wrangled out of the ground.....

http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/2039496-post35.html

One of them (not in pics) was a big green cherry stump.....and it was tough to yank.....even after it was loose it still took some doing to get out of the hole....

I know I am getting off topic here (sorry)but how much time did you spend, getting that monster out?did you use a chainsaw much?(that is impessive)

:ashamed:.......too long......maybe it was just total madness that helped but that sucker took a good hard day of tugging......I needed a bigger machine but you do what you gotta do......:ashamed:

I would have gone broke if I was doing it for money.......

This was taken yesterday (April 2, 2011). This is the same JD 110 TLB that I had to split to repair the hydraulics a few weeks ago. I had about 10 hours of seat time in the last 2 days and everything is working well. Pulled stumps, moved boulders, pushed brush, just good therapy. I am clearing approximately 1/2 acre behind my house, so far off to a good start.

Here I am right after they delivered my new Kubota...
100_0470.jpg
My son was just starting his nap time when they unloaded it, so he didn't get to see it until it was parked in the garage.
I just picked the little guy up and he knew what to do. Grabbed that wheel and started making engine noises. Nobody can tell me this stuff is learned. That little guy is all boy. With all the farm toys he keeps getting, I'm thinking his grandpa's both want him to be a farmer.
