I was in the feed store yesterday getting shavings and grain. I a large box of catfood under my arm that I set on the counter. Over to the right the chicks were peeping away under their light. I asked the lady if that was another brand of catfood I was seeing over there.

I was in a TSC a couple years ago about this time.
There were two employees standing looking at the 100 plus chicks in the tubs.
I ask- Are you naming them? :)
They both ignored me. ???
Well I still get a good laugh when I think about it.

Funny! But then I have a perverted sense of humor.

I'm about 70 and what hair I have left is white to light gray (i.e. harmless). Going through the McDonald's drive through, I raise my fists and ask the young lady, "Wanna fight?". She doesn't miss a beat responding, "I'd kick your BUTT!". I tell her, "Geez, you don't have to get all testy".

Picking up our chicks 5/15. We're getting some Turkeys as well. In preparation, I built a coop for them using pallets which were free from the hardware store, some salvaged lumber, 4 pier bases and some pickets from Lowes.

How are the chickens doing Happy Gilmore?

They're doing good, thanks for asking. Man are they growing fast. I now have two that hop up on my hand. Feisty kinda tweaks out when I sit in front of the coop, runs back and fourth until she flies up onto the roost. Although she doesn't always land on it. I guess it's her way of saying she wants to perch on my hand. At the rate they're growing I don't know how much longer she'll be able to.
