I'm curious. Has the OP ever confronted the Landowners as of yet and asked?

Sparc has only managed to ask a "watcher" (an obvious COINTEL operative posing as a neighboring landowner trimming trees along the road near the pallets). Sparc was told the owner may be in Texas, and he, (the watcher) thinks the pallets are used for bird deterrents.

Dave,
I congratulate you on excellent research. I might point out that the few dozen geese remaining around the Ottawa river, are most likely drones themselves. No self respecting goose drone would be afraid of a recording.

No connection.

Recent research has confirmed that geese, and other fowl, fly in a V formation for purely aerodynamic, energy conserving reasons.

The appearance of the V formation is relative to the position of the observer and the apparent azimuth of the flight path. Geese flying toward the observer will appear as a somewhat upright V, while geese flying away will appear as an inverted V.

Even more recent Research has discovered that, although your statement is true, a new development has come to light. It's so serious that funds are being solicited to solve the problem:

Your aircraft identification skills may need refreshing, or this is an obvious hoax intended to fleece for geese.

Edit
I must apologize! In the fog of early morning I thought those were herons or cranes flying in the opposite direction.

I have seen Canada geese referred to as "sky carp" by wildlife biologists. I don't know how that may impact their use as drones.

In recent days, I've been hearing geese without seeing geese. This leads me to believe that either, the cloaking device is being used or the goose drones maintain a safe house on the next street.

Right then, Gentlemen & Colleagues, are we in agreement that the pallets are not being used as some sort of 'scarecrow' or scaregoose?

Apparently the geese that frequent public parks are such a menace that the entire landscape of North America would be littered with pallets as a deterrent if this configuration worked.

The learned scientist from Tasmania makes a very good point. Sky Carp, as Dave calls them hardly fear humans. There is little likelyhood that they would fear inanimate objects such as pallets, for long.

I am in full agreement with your statement.

In the way of a progress report, I have been working on a "Lunacy Scale" that would build on the "Crackpot Index" as a means of quantifying the "scientificity" of the various theories that have been advanced as explanations of the pallet formations. As part of my research, I examining the relationship between the Lunacy Scale readings and the phase of the moon. As Pliny the Elder explained,

the brain is the "moistest" organ in the body and thereby most susceptible to the pernicious influences of the moon, which triggers the tides.
Lunacy and the Full Moon - Scientific American

Although preliminary, my results indicate that "scientificity" increases during the full moon. I attribute this to the possibility that some "scientists" are out barking at the moon during that time rather than posting to this thread.
