That is a theory with legs. Why else would he be so reticent in in sharing his itinerary? I think you should develop it further to see where it may lead.

This could be Steve, street string theorist in Stockholm, Sweden. He could have traveled to Stockholm to bribe the Nobel Committee, there is a history of that. Very similar to Olympic Ice Skate Judging.

I set my theory aside long enough to examine yours and was immediately struck by a simularity in the appearances of the Stockholm street magician and the actor Jack Albertson. chico and the man - Dogpile Images Search
Albertson is said to have passed away in 1981 but, when brilliant scientists and magicians are involved, conspiricies are quite possible..

I have cause to believe that the one you perceive to be Olivia, is not human and could be an android sent to destroy you. A brief scan of her photograph alerted me to the strange appearance of her belly button. It doesn't appear to be a navel at all but, a slit with some decoration on top. ALL TRUE HUMANS HAVE NAVELS. My advice is, before you proceed, call in backup, and make a careful examination of this anomaly yourself.

Another clue to "Where In The World is Steve" came to mind today. Based on Steve's frequent rhapsodizing over the beauty :squirrel: of Euler's identity, he may be on a pilgrimage to Switzerland, Euler's country of origin.

Just to refresh your memory regarding Steve's numerical obsession:

e is Euler's number, the base of natural logarithms,
i is the imaginary unit, which satisfies i2 = −1, and
π is pi, the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter.

Euler's identity is named after the Swiss mathematician Leonhard Euler. It is considered an example of mathematical beauty. I'm not sure if it is the "mathematical beauty," or the fact that it relies on imaginary numbers that so appeals to the economist in Steve.

Here is Euler in 1756 at the age of 49. Note how Steve has copied his idol's hairstyle.


No trip to Switzerland would be complete without alphorns. This could have been Steve's alphorn school music teacher. Steve was doing research on Swiss culture and items.


Apparently, while in Switzerland, Steve was invited to be a guest lecturer on the beauty of Euler's identity.


Euler also lived and worked in St. Petersburg, Russia and in Berlin. I will continue my search for Steve in those areas.
