Pallets in fields

/ I told your cookie sheet joke to a friend in England and had to explain it.
He calls cookies biscuits and I think, he calls sheets trays.

This friend likes to pretend he doesn't enjoy good humour. He reminds me of someone.

Yes over there cookies are biscuits, trucks are lorries , elevators are lifts tires are tyres...etc...

People that actually know me know I make as much fun of myself as I do anyone...you know what they say "if they can't take a joke"...!

BTW...I apologize to anyone I may have called stupid and hurt their feelings...honest to god I sincerely thought they were already aware of the fact...:D

Personally I think /pine is a knot head (yuk, yuk, yuk).
It's ok to laugh at yourself or tell stupid jokes. When someone calls me stupid (a keyboard bully) I'd rather meet them in person, explaining how/why I'm stupid.

I accidentally clicked on an early post in this thread and up popped the picture of the colonial era man that Steve "smstonypoint" used as his icon. The last post I could find by him was from 2018. Does anyone know what's become of him?

I don't know how to post a picture of Steve's avator. It's toward the bottom of the first page of this thread. A very memorable picture.

FYI knot head...I don't recall ever calling anyone stupid (except possibly a couple of misguided souls that lean in the wrong political direction) but I can see how a truly stupid person may make that mistake...
At any rate think of me as a Frenchman (not really though) Monty Python and the Holy Grail - The Insulting Frenchman - YouTube

...Does anyone know what's become of him?

Wondered that myself...

Was he the grammar correcting guy?

Was he the grammar correcting guy?

He was mostly an advocate of (improvable) economic theories...and tried to relate anything and everything to them...he did tend to be a bit pedantic...

Ya, I learned how to do it from you, as being top "wiper of other peoples bottoms"! You are really an expert!

I don't remember him correcting grammar. He acted like a nose in the air scientist of Benjanin Franklin's or Isaac Newton's time who corrected those who didn't take the scientific approach to solving the pallet mystery. I thought it was all an act and found him highly entertaining. Can't believe he hasn't posted in over two years. I truly liked the guy.

His picture was Adam Smith - the economist. He was an economics teacher at Clemson.

Don’t know what happened to him.

I watched Miss Marple recite Dirty Dingus Dingus Magee, by Robert W. Service the other night. Now, I've developed a terrible crush on Margaret Rutherford.

Thank you, Mo. I had no idea who that was in the picture. Steve must have been pretending to be Adam Smith.

How is it that I'm a "Noob" when I've been here longer than you have? Does that mean you're a virgin?

LoL...

figure it out already...I cited your post for the content (i.e., the thread was started 7 years ago) not the user data...duh...!

I fixed it for you so you won't be so confused...like I said in another thread..."I can explain it to you ...but I can't understand it for you..."
