Pallet fork jib

I was thinking of making something like this to slip over my pallet forks. Not as heavy duty or long as the one pictured but similar style.

Thoughts would be to put a trailer ball on top and use it in the collapsed position to move trailers and lift heavy things, pull fence posts, etc and then be able to extend it to erect trusses and other relatively light but tall things.

Curious if anyone has built anything similar?
