Padding to help cooling

In the first pic notice that i blocked off the area that is under the engine mount plate as well.

Is that foam closed cell heat/fire/oil resistant foam? If not, I would have ignition and flammability concerns...

FWIW: I have a 10lb dry chemical extinguisher mounted on the engine canopy.

It is regular foam i bought at Walmart. Been ising it for a year now and no issues, at first i was worried about it coming out of the spots but it stays put. As far as ignition or flamability resistant , not sure. But it eradicated my cooling and vapor lock issues.
I know that some people may have issues with the foam padding but i wanted to put the idea out there for a solution to someone elses problem.

Roger that, it is proof of concept. It proves there are benefits to separating the cold air intake from the hot air discharge.
