I dont know if they count but I bought bxpanded bucket forks-first attachment I didn't make or borrow. They have moved more logs than I care to count and saved my back. Im 30 with the back of a 50yo. Thats what 12 years of being a mechanic gets you.

Bought a brand spanking new M7040 with FEL just over a year ago. Swapped out the bucket with forks the second week - never even used the bucket. That "new" bucket is still sitting in the yard gathering dust. LOVE the forks!

HMMMMM----- I passed 50 so long ago I neither remember the time nor can I look back and see it in my past. Anyhow, I have no forks, yet, but I may this summer. And for Triple R - I still haven't got my Brown cutter yet.

Tractor came with FEL/Bucket but my first addition was a set of forks. BUT- by far - my most useful attachment is the grapple! It rarely comes off.

Plus, next time a nasty neighbor parks his truck where he shouldn't, you can run them forks thru his side door! Very effective deterrent.

I've been lucky that my back has held up pretty well for my 59 years. But about 10 years ago I made the mistake of trying to move an empty 300 gallon barrel that I use for watering trees and ended up in the emergency room almost unable to walk. I was lucky in that it was only muscle damage, not a lumbar disc, so I recovered fairly quickly. Shortly thereafter, I was trading my New Holland TC40DA and told the dealer to add a fork attachment to the deal. It was just around $500 or so but was the best $500 I've ever spent. This attachment, along with my grapple attachment that I use for moving brush, are the ones I could not live without.

QA is the best thing since sliced bread. After the bucket, #1 is the hay spear. Pallet forks would be nice but next I want a grapple........man could we get some stuff done with one of those.

Man, i've got to just go ahead and get the forks. Im always futzing around trying to make my bucket act like them, with varied results. Usually a lot of time wasted and load slopping out on the ground.

I am using these things every single day doing something, but each day is a different task, and the forks meet the need. I used a FEL with bucket on a MF135 for decades but it was the old style that was perma-mounted. You just learn to get used to what you got. A person really doesnt realize how handy a set of forks is until you get 'em. Thanks to all the fellas here who convinced me to break down and buy. These Titans were free shipping and arrived from Memphis to Texas in 2 days, and their price was 150-to-200 less than local retailers here. (48" fork with bale spear option and I personally like the design & build quality better on these than what was available local)

We unloaded 100 fence posts just last night. (tried to lift the entire bundle up by the steel straps but they broke from the weight)
