Interesting. But how do you do FINISH fine grading with a FEL?

They have numerous attachments even a box scraper. I not saying you should forget about a tractor. I just saw this machine working and just could not believe it. They were clearing the right of way at the railroad crossing, Two men were cutting down the larger trees and the Bobcat using a grapple bucket would come in and just grab the whole tree and run to the pile with them it was like some kind of robotic monster. When they got all the big tress cut the Bobcat dug up the stumps then changed to a brush cutter head and mowed down the rest it was amazing absolutely amazing. I have a L- 4330 HST and I would not drive it were this machine had gone even after they had it all cleaned up and were finished

Been there & done that. They do clear well and bushhog real rough area great but don't take them to the pasture, they tear it up. As for grading roads and stuff, it's different pushing a box blade than pulling one. The wheel base is too short and the machine is too light to get a good flat finish. Not like you get with a dozer or grader. There great at what they do but they don't replace a tractor. Implements cost bug bucks as well.......

Good point about the wheel base even though they make implements to deal with that.

GOOD NEWS! The dealer spoke with Gearmore's engineer this morning and found out how to hook up the TnT on the L39. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Something about removing the right rear tire to access where they are going to hook up. So,, barring anymore complications I should have the tractor in a day or two! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

( Something doesn't sound right here. The Kubota TNT kit for the L35/48 (and I assume the L39 too) requires the 3-spool Kubota remote hydraulic valve. This valve should be plumbed so that it is available when the 3pt is activated. 3 spools gives one for the top link, one for the tilt link and one extra for your hydraulic rippers on the box blade.

I don't think the valve is plumbed into the backhoe outlets which I assume are disabled when the 3pt is activated via the levers. Sounds like your dealer's mechanic might need a lesson in how to plumb one of these things up. Maybe someone with an L35/39/48 can verify this.

Seeing as how I own an L-39 and it is in the shop right now for the installation of the 3-Rear Remotes so that I can operate a TNT on the BB, I agree 100% with what MadReferee said.

The 3 rear remotes on the L-39 are plumbed into the 3pt, not the BH, and YES they do work once you have removed the BH and enabled the levers to the 3pt position..... /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I think that someones mechanic has a problem understaing how a L-39 operates.... /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

So the large three rear hoe quick disconnects mounted on the right side still have hydraulic fluid preasure to them when the three point hitch is operating? If so, I wonder why he did not know that or use them if in fact those connections could be used for the TnT???? To me that would make the most sence to use the hoe quick disconnects, so the rear blade and hoe can be taken off and swapped using the disconnect hoses!

Muleskinner,

Just a clarification. A set of rear remotes is two hose connections per remote. 2 remotes=4 connectors, 3 remotes=6 connectors. These are the connections for the hoses from the cylinders to the spools. Adding remotes will add additional connections over and above those for the backhoe.

I don't believe that the backhoe connectors have pressure when the 3pt is enabled.

MadReferee is correct, the BH connectors do not have pressure when the 3 pt connectors are linked and engaged.

My L48 had a setup that used the hoe hydraulics for the TnT. It had another quick connect that fed just the swing on the hoe operating off of another pump, the third pump to be specific. While it did not tap the loader circuit, it did come off the same pump. The TnT dumped directly back into a modified oil filler plug located at the back. There were to valves on back that controlled the L48's hydraulic flow. As I mentioned to Muleskinner, one way or another, it can be done, it just takes someone informed about hydraulics to do it.
