Rat I believe so. He had to remove the right fender to gain access to whatever he needed to get to. He used the hoe fluid return quick disconnect for the return line for the TnT.
Anyway I got the tractor home. I've got great news and bad news. After driving the tractor around at home and digging some dirt, the things great. I like it! The decision to go to the
L39 was right one.The GST is the way to go, as soon as I get used to it. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Lots of power and nice low gears.
Now the bad news. While doing my "New vehicle" once over looking for loose bolts, Etc, Etc, I found a very small coolant leak on the engine. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif
So I check it out and find a small amount of coolant slowly running down the right side of the oil pan just to the rear of the injection pump. It appears the leak is coming from a freeze plug, cracked block, or? Whatever is leaking is between the tractor frame and the engine block, so I can't see to find the causal factor.
I am going to call the dealer in the morning, he will grab for his chest I'm sure, /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif and advise him of the problem. Unless the dealer tells me otherwise, I will use an old time, proven, coolant leak fix I have used many many times on new engines with a leaky freeze plug or gasket I have just put together while I was in the car repair business.
A small amount of liquid "Bars leak brand cooling system leak repair" works wonders. ( Notice I said a "Small amount" It is critical to NEVER USE THE ENTIRE BOTTLE) If you do you can bet on a plugged up radiator and other cooling system flow problems! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
All I can say is Why me! I can't believe this thing has now taken on another problem. If the tractor has to go down for repairs I will lose at lot of my customers who are already mad I have had to put them off for a week. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Oh well, that's life I guess. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
The tractor gods must be smilling on me. The coolant leak thing was driving me crazy, so I took my flashlight out to the tractor, got on my creeper and looked at the collant leak again. It's not a coolant leak. It's hose water trapped between the frame and the engine block from the deaer washing the unit prior to delivery. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
While looking under the vehicle I noticed this is one tough, heavy built, tractor!! The front FEL crossover tube is way thicker gauge tubing than the one on the L853 FEL. The rear FEL mount tube is heavy wall and goes all the way across the underside of the tractor.
The injection pump is engine coolant cooled and has what appears to be an air bleed knob for priming the system after running out of fuel.
The front axle has a black rubber vent hose that routes from the axle housing up into the engine compartment, just like the system I designed and built for my
B7800 that everyone made fun at me for. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Yes Rat, this is one industrial strength tractor!!
