Deere 3320 w/eHydro
I was informed 3 weeks ago when I signed the purchase order that Deere would provide a build date within a week of when the order was submitted. Took delivery today, 19.1 hours on the meter, most of the black plastic in the operator's station has some fading, not sure if I can find a build date on the machine.

Call into the sales guy, he's checking with the dealer rep who submits all of their orders. I was thinking between 1-3 hours for testing, quality review, misc. would be reasonable.

How far off was my expectation of receiving a NEW unit?

When I bought my Kubota it had ~10 hours on it, they had used it to unload new bush hogs and such at the dealer. I got a pretty significant demo discount for those 10 hours.

I've bought two new Kubota's.

One was a carry-over model that had been displayed at shows. It had 12 hours on it and was a year old. Bought it for $2K under competitive dealer prices on a "new" one. Had same warranty, etc. and was treated as new.

Second was a current model. Had been on dealer's lot for three months. Had 1.5 hours on it. No discount for that.

The hours on your machine wouldn't bother me. But paying new price and getting faded paint/plastic would eat on my nerves.

Edit: Had to come back and edit this. What would bother me the most is the dealer treated you as if you were ordering a machine to be built. Then apparently sold you a machine he's dealer traded for. Or maybe in his defense JD found the machine on a dealer's lot and had them ship it to him. Either way the transaction should have been adjusted.

My new 3720 had 1 hour on it when they brought it out for me to test out. I've been using it for all kinds of projects around the place since I bought it & officially took delivery a week ago today. I have 7.8 hours on it now. I suppose I'll have 19 hours on it by spring?

My 3520 had .5 hours on it when I received it. sure sounds to me like this thing was on a lot somewhere and your dealer just dealer traded for it. I ordered mine because I didn't want a machine that had been sitting outside.

My new B3200 had no time on the meter at all when I picked it up a month ago. Now it has 14.7hrs.

My 2720 had 1.2 hours on the meter at the time of delivery.

That is too many hours for a tractor that they ordered, my tractor was ordered and had 1.8 hours when I got it.

If I remember right, my TYM T603 had .6 of an hour on it as it touched my property the first time, I'm sure they ran the engine before putting it in the tractor....yours is defiantly not right. I wouldn't settle for it.

Now it has 278 hours on the meter

Found this engine decal after looking under the hood. I'll sure be looking a lot more carefully if/when conducting business with this dealer. At this point I've asked for a NEW unit or cancel the deal.

Bought my Kubota used from a guy who bought it off the lot, used it, and said something came up and he had to get rid of it. It had 3.9 hours on it when I unloaded it at my new house. By the time it had 19 hours on it I had mowed the 2 acre lawn 3 times, bush hogged an acre, and tilled a 1/4 acre of garden.

I would be discussing the high hours with the Dealer. Probably one of the first questions would be, if you sold me a new tractor, who did you let put the 19+ hours on it before you delivered it to me?

Pull the air cleaner element out and look for a date stamped on it. Also check the battery, there is usually some sort of date on them also. If both of those are manufactured this year it is probably at least a 2013 tractor.

hope that first set of digits doesn't mean it was built on November 17th of 2010 ??

Sure looks that way, doesn't it?

Sometimes i am very happy to have old used tractors, because-

If those #s are date codes- it makes you wonder about people-

he ordered the tractor, ( Most people that order want it set up a particular way AND a new factory fresh machine ) PERIOD

and since many of these Name Brand tractors - cost as much as new cars, an ordered one should not come off a dealers lot or be a machine produced years earlier and if it does, it should be disclosed BEFORE the new owner signs off...
AND since the owner requested the build sheet ( for a new build) when he signed the purchase order something seems out of place here
If that isn't a date code, and this machine is BRAND NEW my apologies- to John Deere and their dealers...

One more thing, that tractor should have tier 4 decals and associated emmissions equipment RIGHT?? otherwise HOW can it be a tractor built very recently
