Ordered a 2022 Ram 2500

   / Ordered a 2022 Ram 2500 #112
I'm sure I'll regret not buying it. Only lasted one day on Marketplace. I could have sold my ole Ford for $10K and been in it very cheap..... This one had original paint, original rears 50% tread, new fronts, straight machine.

I just saw this on market place for $12,500. I’m not going to buy it but that looks like a pretty good price. Some of the 210s had a gannon box blade with 6 way hydraulics. That would interest me more than 210 with a hoe.

It's too bad diesel fuel is as much as premium gas, these days. I guess Americans forgot its a By product of gasoline.
???
Maybe in your neck of the woods. Here's a photo I took about 3 hours ago...had to make a 357 mile trip, towing, today, and you can bet my old Dodge/Cummins was the truck I used.

I think they got forced out of the 7.3 business from government mandates. I don’t think international designed the 6.0 to make the power Ford pushed it to either. Why they never put a Cummins in those trucks is beyond me.
This.
If memory serves me correctly, Ford at one time owned a percentage of Cummins. It is my belief that if Ford had partnered with Cummins instead of International for their engines they would have completely owned the diesel pickup market then and today.

2012 Ram 3500 diesel. 263,000. Only normal wear and tear items. Still going strong. Ford lost me probably for life after owning a 6.0 powerstroke.
7.3 was the last Ford. I have seen and heard of bad stories involving a 6.0 engine. Saw one ole guy drive his F350 4x4 across the scales. Said he had fixed it twice, wasn't going to fix it again. Wish I had caught him earlier and bought it. I would have put another some kind of engine in it. Had me a new looking truck for 600 bucks.

The 7.3 and 6.0 were both built by International Harvester, not Ford.
And the 6.9L (before the 7.3L) and 6.4L (after the 6L).
I had 3 of the 6.4s. Very unreliable, over complicated engines. It’s no wonder they only went 3 years with them and that was the end for the Ford-IH relationship.

On December 3, 2021 I ordered a Ram 2500 Laramie. The sales manager said it should take about 3 to 4 months to arrive. Usually it's 3 months, but the factory shuts down for 3 weeks for Christmas. Today he told me that it has been assigned a VIN. And he says Chrysler will email me with updates on the progress of the build. I haven't got anything from Chrysler yet.

I'll be pulling my hair out waiting for it in about 10 weeks.

I ordered the 6.4L hemi engine. I have another 2019 Tradesman with the 6.4L and I really like it. And the diesel is a $9400 option.
Hey, I am glad you ordered you a good truck. The a holes complaining maybe he still has a pinto? It is good you tell what you were able to get. And guess what all, I have a 1993 4x4 F-250 xlt 351 pulls anything I ever tried and still going strong, had since new. Also I bought me a Chrysler 200 with a V-6 3 weeks weeks ago. Will leave a 2 front wheel drive black streaks through 1st and 2nd up to 50 mph! How about that. Give the guy a break!

Congratulations. That will be a nice truck. I bought a 2021 Ram Laramie 1500, 5.7 Hemi (traded in my 2019 Laramie). There still is a chip shortage. Be warned - there may be a chip missing is less critical features. For example, my 2021 is exactly the same features as my 2019.. I was surprised to see then Tailgate ajar light on the dash didn't work. I looked up the VIN build sheet - It was an included feature. Left it for service for a week. After contacting Chrysler, seems it was sold with the chip for that feature. Might use the VIN # and look up a online build sheet for your truck for a list of all features - then check before it leaves the lot if there any concerns. I am ok with out the tailgate dash light. Anyway, just for info.
Mine too, ordered my 16’ 2500 longhorn megacab, now w/ 123k miles, built in mehico. Theres a ram website, i wish i could remember it, that you give a guy your vin and he gives you daily updates, as it moves down the line, all the way to the dealers lot. It was alot of fun checking on it daily. I knew before the dealer that it was coming. 3rd Ram and have only one chronic problem, backup camera gets screwy sometimes after using tailgate. Otw, love the truck.
wish i could get it tuned though to use more of the 6.4L’s potential, just havent looked into it much yet. Congratulations on your success and new truck!

As I mentioned in my first post, I already have the 6.4L hemi and I really like the way it handles, and that's the main reason I've order the 6.4 in this truck.

Do you have or did you get the air ride option?

Installed a set of 5k Air lift bags yesterday on my '21 2500 Cummins. Manual plumbing, set at 20# left and 10# right with the dump hooked up. Will try that for now. Easy direct bolt on, no issues. The bottom clamp is a little too small for the larger axle tubes. My guess is they have not realized the '19+ is bigger than the '14-'18 models. I think they will be a great match with the wide stance and the narrow coil spring rear.
