Yeah but this thread has been going on since Tuesday

The OP said EA has been in touch with him. They don't necessarily need to post.

I have so far purchased a fertilizer spreader, post hole digger, and a 3pt. hitch sprayer from EA. All arrived right on time, and all seem to be of good quality. I just ordered their 6 ft. york rake last night. Some of their pricing/quality makes sense. If not I purchase locally. So far, so good.

I'm not saying they need to post, it just always seems that they catch wind of these threads and all of a sudden are all about customer service when in a public forum. I'm not completely turned off to them, in fact my next implement will probably be a box blade and they are near the top of my list... I am willing to give them a try. It's just that i see more and more of these threads about supposed poor customer service and/or communication and all of a sudden here comes EA with the helpful attitude at the forefront of p.r.

I'm not saying they are a bad company, I know there are a lot of people out there that like to complain a lot when maybe they themselves are just not understanding something correctly or are not good at communicating. That is why I have not excluded them as a possibility for me... yet. I will be cautious though.

I read into this whole thing that EA stepped up and made things right. Regardless of 'what went wrong', they did things to make amends and that to me is what is important. Many other companies out there, especially those ordering stuff from China, will just give up on you and you have to cancel your order. Mistakes happen in every business, it's the follow-through on the mistake that is critical to keeping a good customer and gaining new ones.

I am really surprised EA hasn't chimed in yet, they seem to do that every time a thread like this pops up.

We've been watching this thread closely and didn't feel that it was necessary to chime in because everything was taken care of. We have been extremely busy and do try our best to prevent problems all together, but we are human and things do happen, both within and outside of our control. Our customer's needs are on the top of the priority list and Ted has always done what it takes, within reason, to make sure that a happy ending is reached. Our business has been outstanding but we are still a small business that knows that the customer is #1. Thanks to everyone for your kind words and support!

I know nothing about the company mentioned but in general any company should not charge your credit card until the item ships. Maybe if agreed to in advance. I'm too cautious but if I had a couple unexplained and unexpected shipment delays I would cancel the order and payment and just move on in life.

Me too. You shouldn't pay for anything before it ships unless that is specifically stated in the initial agreement.

I've bought a bunch of stuff from them. The two times I had issues they fixed things to my satisfaction right away. They are good folks.

What does not get mentioned are some of the growing pains of a small company.
No matter how hard management tries to be perfect you always have people (and other) problems.
You enter busy season and an employee that you trained at a loss for last 6 months suddenly threatens to leave or demands a non justified raise. (they always pick the worst times)
A key man suddenly gets ill. (or other crisis)
They all want vacations at the same time.
Somebody is injured.
Your supplier lets you down.
Bank suddenly wants more guarantees or more data.

The important thing, from all indications, is that they deliver good quality and not withstanding the odd bumps or hickups, they do deliver what they say they will.

Hats off to them!
