Go to run the tiller through the newly plowed expansion. Then worked it over with the landscaper rake. Man that was rough. So many rocks and roots. Its still not where it needs to be to plant, but its getting better.

Material the landscape rake pulled out. I had to constantly pull the 3pt up, back up and lower the 3pt every 5-8ft to really start removing debris. It was like sweeping with a giant motorized broom. Are my expectations wrong that the dirt should go through the tines and the rocks and roots should be the only thing in the piles? Seem to be catching way more dirt than what I want.

Of all the things I've planted, the sunflowers were not the ones I expected the deer to eat.

I guess now's a bad time to tell you deer love sunflowers. ;)

Have you tried taking every other tooth out of the landscape rake? It has helped some folks with the dirt dragging issue, you just can't catch the smallest of the small stuff.

I haven't tried removing any tines. For the moment I've stopped progress. Need to think about that field.

Some of the turnips needed to be thinned out. They were a little small, but I wanted to give the others more room to grow

After bushhogging the section of ruined sunflower field (thanks deer), I re-tilled it. Then planted some different things in it.

Got some more land cleared today. It was a welcome surprise to not be getting the "Biblical rain" that was called for this weekend.

Got one of the newly cleared fields plowed. Now to let it sit a little while for the plant material to breakdown a bit, then hit it with the tiller. This will just get grass planted. Trying to expand some play area for the boys. The tractor was really struggling pulling the plow through this soil. Not sure whats going on. L gear full throttle and it was still bogging down. I swear ever since it came back from the dealership for service its been running different.

Looks like I was too late on planting the sweet corn for a late harvest. I planted two rows, and it looks like 2-3 sprouted.

The squash and pumpkin plants are looking hearty.

The pumpkins and butternut squash are really taking over. We've harvested some bush beans already and have gotten 5-6 zucchinis so far. Its been a successful late planting thus far.
