Opening up land for a garden and orchard

No movement on the wildflowers or sunflowers. The field pea and oats are starting to sprout now too

Rye - sprouted
Oat/FieldPea - sprouted
Sunflowers - sprouted
Wildflowers - maybe? I don't know what the sprouts look like because it was numerous varieties. So might just be weeds.

All the strawberry plants are flowering. A good sign.





Just ordered a bunch more seed for veggies. We'll see how it goes.

Went over the unplanted section of field a bunch of times with the landscaper rake to try and get some of the rock out. So much rock. I think ill hit that section again with the tiller. See if I can put some of the smaller rocks under the soil.

Ran the tiller once over the raked area

Plowed up a new section. Before anyone says how bad the plowing looks. Yah I know. That had to be the worst chunk of ground i have plowed to date. Numerous big rocks. Lots of vines. Small rocks getting jammed between the plower and cutting disk. Ugh. Didnt spend much time actually on the tractor.

Got 14 rows of veggies and herbs plated.

Tree got in the way of plowing. It was going to be coming out anyways when I clear the next section of meadow.

The strawberries are growing. The kids are really enjoying checking on them and watching how much they grow and change.

They cant wait to pick the first ripe ones.

The turnips appear to be sprouting.

The sunflowers are rockin

...and I need to work on my "broadcast planting" skills.

Now I just need more sunshine to get some ripe strawberries.

Looks like something got my two almost ripe strawberries. Mouse or chipmunk maybe.

Need to do some weeding between the sunflower rows.
