MadReferee,

You should give some serious thought on publishing a book on hydraulics specifically for compact tractors and utility tractors. The books I've read are too general for someone just casually familiar with hydraulics and they certainly could not address factory vs aftermarket solutions, pros and cons of each, pricing, and even part numbers. For every person that follows thru with a project, there's probably 10 more who would like to. And for every one who would like to, there's probably 3 more that don't appreciate the potential of their tractor's hydraulic system.

In fact, the component manufacturers should pay you, or someone, to do this. Of course this won't happen but many of us would be happy to buy it, even if its just stapled together.

John

To everyone else ignorant about your tractor hydraulic system,

Jump in here.

Mad, for those of us that don't like to read, can you come up with a CD? ;)

Before this gets way out of hand, I am not an expert, in fact I am far from it. I simply have the ability to properly research something, figure it out, and pesent it in a coherent and useful manner. In other words, it doesn't take much for me to understand what is going on. I guess it's my engineering backround.

I am not very good with documentation (just ask some of my clients) and my plans took way way too long to get them so that someone could understand them.

Thanks for the kudus and I'll try to be helpful whenever I can.

I'm with everyone else !

Whenever there is someone with a hydraulics question, Mad is always quick to jump in with plenty of info.

I'm currently about to tap into my hydraulics to put rear outlets on my Yanmar...... and i'm sure i'll have plenty of questions for MadReferee !!

Me too, thanks Mad.
Did you see that my grapple project turned out super delux? Thanks to your help on the hydraulic valving and such.

I agree with the suggestions above. It would be helpful to have just to know a little more about my tractor. I get a ton of good info off of this site. Glad I found it.

My thanks to MadReferee as well.
I never had to ask one question when I added the remotes to my L2250, all I had to do was read his very complete replies to others.
Keep up the Great( read free) work.
Thanks again.
Dave
