I have/had a M6800DT that was in showroom condition. Well, that all changed the other day when a very large oak tree came down on it in a windstorm. Wonder what the odds were on that happening. Hood, one fender, both rear tail lights and the plastic fender ends, the plastic moulding that goes around the instrument cluster. I am afraid to know what Bota wants for the parts but it's getting fixed. It may just be a tractor but leaving like it is would really hurt resale if I decided to do so. I use both my Bota tractors but I also keep them in top shape so it has made me sick. The bright side of the whole thing is that at least I was not on the thing when the tree hit. I really wish there was a source for used parts for Botas.

Wayne,
I know of what you speak. When we had our monster northeaster in Oct 2011, I was using my cabbed B3030 to remove some free oak trunks from a neighbor's house. I surveyed the area, didn't see any problems, then a widow maker fell out of the trees just missing my tractor. It was so close that a tree guy working on the property came running over to see if I got dinged.
Remember: your tractor is insured, your life isn't.

That is one reason I have the Kubota insurance.

Your homeowner's policy may be able to pick up part of the tab. Check into it.

I purchased by 2011 B3300SU used so I bought an "Inland Marine" insurance policy through our agent.
