I always loved that song!

The song was written without any car (the one in the picture above was only a promo that didn't actually run and didn't quite match the words in the song). Later on a gentleman built his "interpretation" of the car and he ended up donating it to Johnny Cash. Johnny actually drove it for quite a few years until he put it in a museum:
