This weather just might re-create a demand for the 10 mpg Hummer. Curious. Never saw a snow blade on a Hummer.

I'm sure if they could afford a Hummer they could afford to hire someone to plow.

Kind of what I was thinking. Or, they simply don't bother, impressing themselves, with the Hummer capability. AND pulling out those with lesser vehicles.

Guys, you can get mil spec hummers CHEAP online on the government sites...well maybe not you Canucks :laughing: (jk i think you can too)

Unimogs and Hummers everywhere for cheap. Sure they've literally been dropped out of airplanes, but they mostly run and would work great for farm trucks.

I think the humvees are available for less than 10k. Maybe not the best conditioned ones, but it looked like a handfull in the 5-7k range right now. Probably different times of year they sell for more or less.

That little jeep is neat, I'd wager you could trade a military collector somewhere.

I am helping a friend with his M1123 HMMWV which is a USMC troop carrier, soft high back type. He bought it from an auction site online, from CA somewhere, for $6k running and driving, though it was more expensive after fees and shipping. It has seen better days. My friend is turning it into a ranch truck of sorts. He does plan to mount a snow plow on the front, least in speculation anyway. We have gone though the motor, suspension, and removed some of the crap from the back like the fold down benches and whatnot. He wants to make it into a flat bed, we will see. So far, its a great truck! Will go just about anywhere!!

Not implying I had one. I think they are bombardier made. I had to laugh thinking of what our guys drive around in after seeing the US Military "For Sale" Hummers.

We've had three snows already. Very rare for us. All three might have totaled 4".
