i bought a 75 chevy single axle grain truck on an auction , $1500 its in good shape no rust I thought i got a good deal
You may have gotten a good buy - especially if you enjoy mechanicals.

Twenty five years ago my buddy and I bought an old '52 Chevy dually side dump grain truck from a local farmer. It had sat by his barn for a decade. $100. Basically it needed tires, brakes, the rust patched up, every fluid changed, and all the cab critters evicted.

It still works fine. We use it for hauling just about anything from dirt to junk. The hydraulic side dump makes it handy for everything.

I worked on a ton of those back in the day. Most were single rear 2/sp axle w/hyd brakes, manual trans, and 366. They were grain, cattle, propane, lumber, and box trucks.

Edit.....and spreader trucks (with those giant tires), concrete forms trucks, etc.
