We have a Fordsen-Major backhoe and the engine is starting to knock. We believe it is a loose rod and can see metal in the oil. Where can a person get replacement parts? I thought there was a place near DesMoines, IA. Does anyone know the address or phone number for this place or any other place? Thanks in advance for you advice.

You may be thinking of Central Tractor, headquartered in Des Moines. They seem to be out of business.(The number from my 2000-2001 phone book has been disconnected)
Ankeny Tractors (www.ankenytractors.com) only seem to deal in Ford and New Holland. But you can contact them and ask....they have been good to work with in the past

I bought some stuff for a Fordson Major at a place called TISCO ......they ere in the Minniapolos area. Was able to get all engine parts I needed.
