Oil treatment

Does anyone know of an oil treatment that would be good for my 70's Craftsman Eager-1. This machine has been sitting for a long time and it runs now but sparks and little pieces of metal come out the exhaust. The oil level is low and I'm going to change the oil soon. I was Also wondering what weight of oil to put in it. I figured while I was changing it I would put some oilt treatment in. Any advice would be appreciated.

Maybe just change oil and work it hard for a while. Should get rid of the carbon deposits.

Of course you could invest in many dollars worth of addatives and end up with the same result.

Putting an addative in the gas to clean out the carb is worth the investment.
