has there been any problems with the oil pump on these tractors
i own a farm pro 2425
my oil gague has been going from hi pressure to very low and sometimes none
could it be the gague?
is there an easy check to find out for sure?
Thanks
Robert

Get a test gauge and screw it into the block where the sender is and test . If it still fluctuates i would guess it's a sticking relief valve of a partially blocked oil filter that is making the bypass valve blow off , but it would be more likely to be a faulty gauge . A rule of thumb with oil pressure is 10psi initial and 10psi for every 1000rpm's there after ie. an engine that does 3000rpm should have 40psi to prevent metal too metal contact . I would not opperate it again if i were you until it was tested .

sunpro makes gauges for 9$.. and you can get an adapter kit for nother 4-5$.. I would DEFFINATELY like to see what my oil pressure was really doing.. etc.
