Oil & Fuel oil pressure jm 224

I installed a new mecanical oil pressure gage last week. I was using a 5 ft finish mower this morning. At start up oil pressure was 60. After mowing for about thirty min. the preasure was around 35 psi at 2000 rpm. Is this normal? My old factory gage never moved very much. Thanks for the input, Robby

Depends upon how cold it gets where you operate the tractor. If I saw 60 psi on one of my tractors when starting on a September morning, that would give me pause as to how high it might be on a January morning. But if you're in the sunbelt somewhere, those numbers seem perfectly safe.

Yea, I think you are safe. The rule is about 10 psi min per 1000 rpm. The oil is going to thin as you work the tractor and the oil heats up so its only natural the pressure will drop. If it was below say 20 psi at 2000 rpm then you have a problem.

I have a problem with a brocken oil pressure sending unit that bolts on lower left side of engine on my Jima 204 .Can anyone help with a cross reference no. It is round and has two wires on it.I think the gage on dash is a New Holland part.Gage shows highest reading when key turned to on and engine not runing or when running.Thanks.Meaford man. ken.galliford@ rogers .com I am in Meaford Ontario Canada

Why does it have a NH gauge? Probably at this point the best thing you could do is go to the auto parts store and buy a $15 mechanical gauge or if you want he oem Jinma gauge contact one of the dealers on here and order both the gauge and sending unit.

Tommy, Yes that is the sending unit that I need but I'm in Ontario Canada and was hopeing for a cross reference number so I could get it at a local auto supply store.Do you know the number for that one? It fits a Jima 204 3 cylinder 380yd11 Yang dong engine, Thanks for help.

I got one from a jima parts supply in hamilton Ontario, $14. Thamks for all your help.
