Ok guys, looks like my dealer didnt get everything fixed on my YM2000... I'll be handling it from here though.. I have a leak from what I figure(from diagrams I have seen) is the L/H brake drum. It appears to me that this leak is from an o-ring inside, again from the pictures I have seen. If anyone has been in this area and knows for sure, I would appreciate your input before I order tha parts.

I have had my brake cover/ drums off on my 3110, but I don't recall seeing a seal in that area. The 3110 may be different in that area than your 2000 . Shouldn't be a difficult repair though. good luck

I dont (think) the YM 2000 has wet brakes.
It could be water & rust leaking out ?

I don't see any leak that I would be concerned about.

Its definitly hydraulic oil of some sort. I've attached a link to Hoyes that shows #30 as being the o-ring I suspect. Again, not having been in there before, I'm kind of guessing.. But it looks logical to me. Could the trans fluid be leaking past the o-ring and into the brakes? I noticed that the dealer removed a pipe plug that appears to have been a water drain. This is probably why its leaking worse than when I took it in.

It didnt really show up very good in that picture. However, it leaves a puddle on the floor overnight and coats the trans housing pretty well...

Greg, you're right about the plug being a drain hole for water.
As far as the oil leak,you also right about the seal.
Its a dirty job to replace that seal so far back in there /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif, but it can be done in an afternoon.
If your brakes are in so-so cond. you might replace both sides while you're at it too.
Im sure Aaron at Hoye tractor has the parts you need.

Well, thats what I was looking for.. I'll be ordering the o-rings and gaskets this week.. Aarons got a pretty good deal going with the manuals and parts online, makes things easy. Now the work will begin.. Can I assume I wont need any special tools? Thanks Ernie.

You might want to use a drill or small grinder with a wire wheel on it to clean the inside of the brake drum.
Wear a welding helmet or a face shield when you do this.

I had the brake drum off on my 3110 .I don't remember the size of the nut that holds the drum on ,but it will take a large socket to remove it.If the drum has never been off it may be difficult to remove .I think I used a dead blow hammer to get it loose.Good luck
