Oil Leak @ Bell

Have any of you ever heard of a leak at the bell where you split the tractor. I've notice a small trace of oil around the bell. It follows the line around the bell and drips at the bottom. The oil level before and after use is good. Not really sure what is happening.

Sounds like the same thing I got rid of mine for. A rear engine seal was what mine was. I didn't have anyone to help me with the split, and the only ones that would work on it in this area, wanted way too much money to do it. It didn't leak bad, but I knew in time, it would mean a new clutch also. Mine leak would show up, right behind the fuel filter, and run down and of course leak out of the bell houseing. But it showed the leak on the outside behind the fuel filter.

I didn't know for sure but thought it might damage the clutch. I talked to the dealer several months ago and he said he would repair, but I haven't had the time to take it back.
