Oil Filter

I'm wandering if anyone can tell me where I might find an oil filter for a Shibaura model SD 1540B. The filter that's on it right now is made by Element and has the # ZO-102. I've tried to find one and haven't had any luck.

I checked every cross reference guide I could find and got zero hits for the description and number you listed. You might want to take your filter to a NAPA parts store and see if they can match it with one of their filters. Their filters are made by WIX.

I appreciate you trying for me. I've actually already done that and found one that was close. That's what I put on but the threads on the filter are a little loose. It did tighten up but still would like to have one that was a little more snug . Thanks again

Be careful with that loose fitting filter. If the threads don't match they tend to blow off rather easily. Just keep an eye on it until you find the right filter.

Yeah, I know that's why I'm still trying to find the right filter. The filter threads are .030 bigger than the one that come off. Thanks again.

Wonder if it's similar to a Shibaura SD1500A. Wix lists a filter for that tractor as No. 51396.

I don't know I'll have to look into it. I know that the wix book lists a filter for a shibaura two cylinder ford engine but its not even close to being the right one.
