I have a ford 4000
3 cylinder / diesel / 8 speed manual transmission. I believe the year is between 1965-1968. And we have been having hydraulic issues for a while and and just got around to taking the top cover off to clean and change the hydraulic filters. And lo and behold the inside there was a layer of sludge in the bottom of the tank.
I pulled the intake/suction filter out and saw that it was torn and caved in. I went to two new Holland dealers to find a replacement but I had no luck. Apparently it is really hard to find. They recommended to call salvage yards across the country and try to hunt one down. Does anyone think it could repair it?
If I could get any help with the matter I would be very grateful.
Attached are some photos.
