The sticker on my B7100hsd states 4 QTs of oil. The manual states 3.6 QTs. With one is right.

Otto1, If it was me I'd fill to 3.5 QT run for a short time then shut down. I would then allow time for oil to drain to the pan and check the dipstick. Slowly add oil until you reach the FULL MARK. This has always worked for me in the past, as stated oil capacities and info are sometimes vague and or incorrect.

Otto, banjobj does the same thing I do. Such discrepancies are not unusual. However, I can also tell you that when I had a B7100, it held 3.5 to 3.6 quarts. Your mileage may vary./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

otto1,
Like Bird said on a B7100 3.6 qts,but I found out on my B7100HST when changing the oil plus the filter its a tad over 3.6 US qts...could be the changing of the oil filter.

Hope your oil stick easier to get out than mine, always seem to hit a knuckle or two.

Thanks guys. It takes about 3.6qt to fill to the top of the dip stick with filter. In the auto buiss. I to have learned not to go by the dipstick alone.
