G'day Axlehub. Yes, we all like different things...
I've got the same joystick and it doesn't interfere with with my right leg at all, especially when operating the reverse pedal. The base of it is set back with the shaft being bent to where control handle perfectly (for me) sits. I've used it extensively during haying season whilst picking up and loading large rounds; it's a joy to use. The bloke demonstrating was probably turned towards the camera giving the impression of 'knocking' it.
There's no real access to this sized tractor from the right hand side... the single step is on the left, as are most tractors.
