Any new findings on this ?
Welp.. I was wrong. It was the filter housing. Dealer came over this afternoon and we pulled out the filter housing and put in the new one.. Started it up; perfect. <shaking head>
The filter housing was backordered for months, that should have told us something; why on earth is there a run on NX filter housings unless... There's some problem with at least some of them. We looked over the old housing real good, not much to see, maybe a little paint in a place it shouldn't be, but, beyond that, it looked fine. But that was absolutely the problem, the moment we cranked it over, it was immediately evident that the problem had been resolved.
Taking that housing apart, it's obvious there are possible areas for problems in there. That housing is attached with a few o-rings to seal it and it's held together just by pressure (no bolts, not screwed down). However, that said, that wasn't the problem because the dealer had already split it and changed the o-rings.. It was something in the housing itself, and, there's not a lot to it, it's just a piece of steel. Really strange, but there must have been a defect in some of them that lead to this problem.
Just wanted everyone to know in case they ran into the bubbles in the suction line problem. The filter housing can absolutely be the cause, it was for me.
Now, the only question, I think this problem has been there since delivery. Tractor always felt a little jerky.. Got about 250 hours on it, and I'm wondering if I should try to get them to change the pump. What are the chances that the air in the system damaged it? I still have 5 years left on my powertrain warranty, so, maybe just a 'wait and see', but, if it's going to break or likely been damaged, I'm going to start a campaign to get it fixed rather than wait for it to break.
Hello to all, new here to the forum. Add me to this list also. NX4510 HST 2018 with 90 hours on it. I have bubbles as i look into the rear fill port. I changed hydraulic fluid (purchased from dealer) at 50 hours. I changed both hydraulic filters also. I recheck to make sure the filters are tight several times.
The sound is the same as justman777's video. justman777 did your dealer give you the part as a warranty claim?
Thanks
