NX4510 HST Cab A/C issue

That does seem odd. I can get the A/C to start working here even when it is minus 30 Celsius. ( pretty close to minus 30 F). I wonder if there is something else going on.

Dave, that's wild. Even when the temp in the cab roof space itself is that cold? So much for my understanding of how the "Thermicon" setup works, which comes from the NX service manual. :shocked:

My NX is garaged in tempered space, so never has to start up in ambient temps below 32F. The mystery continues. :laughing:

Yes, even last summer my A/C was intermittent. Would cut in and out. Dealer could not find anything wrong. After they replaced the control module last fall so I could blow hot air with A/C on, it seemed to be better. Will see how it acts this summer.

you can easily burn out the compressor from lack of oil flow that way!. someone bypassed the temperature sensor, or it's defective, and stopped working.. NOT GOOD!..

It only goes on after 20 minutes or so after everything warms up. So it must still work. The colder it gets, the longer it takes.

Saw dealer yesterday they spoke with Kioti and are going to evaluate/test it out. There are times it won稚 come on at all no matter how long it runs.

If that is the case, you can slug the compressor. I've yet to see a system that allows the compressor to run below freezing. It'll blow air, but not dried air (which is what it does to the warm air when running).

Mine does blow dried air even at temps well below zero. The cab can be fogged up, and once A/C starts working, the windows clear up. Hope it isn't damaging anything.
