I'll take your word for it No fire ants around these parts and thankfully haven't run into the yellow jackets.

My neighbor was chased into his house and all the way into his shower by Bald-faced Aerial Yellowjacket, Bald-faced Wasp, Bald Hornet, White-faced Hornet, Blackjacket, White-tailed Hornet, Spruce Wasp, Bull Wasp or whatever you want to call them.

True since escaping to MO I have not had to deal with fire ant and I sure do not miss them. All flavors of wasp are much much easier to remove. IMHO.

I like bald face hornets if you don't mess with their nest they catch flies all day long and don't bother anyone. I sit under their nests when squirrel hunting no flies bother you there.
