Not pretty but works!!!

I was look for a way to move trailers around without the truck. I didnt want to buy a hitch for the tractor so I made one!!

Thanks sandburranch. Creekbend, all pieces I had laying around the barn. And yes 2 different size balls my 12' trailer is a 2" and my 16' is a 2 5/16. I can even move the old flat bed grain wagons we have for hauling fire wood!!

Just need a 2 5/16 on the top of 3pt hook-up. I use this for goose neck trailer. Do not know where the 1 7/8 goes. Nice build.

I wanted one for a gooseneck, but sold it to my uncle. I hardly ever used it. I didn't think my tractor would move a gooseneck, but after moving them old flat bed grain wagons with it, I think it would. I tried to cover all my needs as of the time I built it. I don't have a trailer that takes a 1 7/8 or it would have been on there also!! Thanks again guys

I just rattle caned it, but my father in law works at a place that does powder coating, I'm trying to talk him it to running it through when they do yellow. He said it would be Caterpillar yellow, but hey free powder coating it would become with me.

I have a trailer hitch I bolt to my FEL bucket
but it must protrude out several inches

OUTSTANDING build....... :thumbsup:

I built mine for about $30.oo including the price of a cat 1 draw bar.
Some features are nicer in the home made one than are available on the commercial made ones at 3 times the price.

Love it when a plan works out with a few pieces of scrap and a little thinking.

Looks usefull, I have made a similar item for my small utility tractor, although i have a ball hitch on one side and a pin hitch on the other, all i do is remove the frame from the 3 point and rotate it 180 degrees to change over. :thumbsup:

Pretty never works better than ugly, both get the job done.
