Hard to complain about the great weather we have had here in south TX. Weather has turned bad today. Overnight low of 66 and a high of 76. But no sun. Tomorrow we are back in the 80's. Going to get back to reality Friday threw Sunday, mid 60 each day. Now I know why I like TX in the winter.

I heard that folks in North Dakota call a barbed wire fence a "wind break".

That is the fence on the North side of North Dakota.

Yuck! They're calling for us to get the full "combo platter"! Rain, freezing rain, sleet and snow! Might as well throw in some hail!

Just got rid of 18 December snow... more snow scheduled for Friday and Saturday... High temp for Saturday is 23. I will be off to buy some coal for the Harman coal stove this afternoon. Heat pump does't cut it with these temps.

Yeah, I had to split wood yesterday and get it tarped and dry.
The wife likes a fire when it's cold even if it isn't our primary heat. I look at it this way, she likes a fire and I like to eat, so if it comes down to it I will be there with a piece of flint and a kindling.
Raining now, the good kind. The gauge say's just at 4/10ths. Our area is expected to get up to 3+ inches of rain with .01"- .04" of ice Friday morning.
Oklahoma looks like they will get a bad one ..

Boy yous guys have it rough. Think we are up to 47 days with 5+ inches of snow on ground. Think record is 54 days. Only 5F now so will probably set new record.
