JD 1070
This the first year I've owned my JD 1070. I haven't run it in awhile and I got it started the other day when it was COLD (6 degrees). There is a whining or squealing that sounds like it's coming from the dash area and the tach needle is jumping. I'm guessing it's the tach cable. Is this a common issue? Is it a cold weather issue as it never did it all year. Is it something that can be lubed?

Thanks

Yes it can be lubed take the end off at motor put some graphite in like you would use on a lock.

Usually the spiral will pull it up the tube and lube it self.

Their might be as lube JD recommends call a dealer and ask.
