My brand new Kubota B2920, (7 Hours) has noisy hydraulics when traveling and the load increases such as going up an incline. The FEL is fine under any load, but in mid range or high range, the hydrostatic chatters much like a cavitating pump. Anyone have any similiar experiences?

Chatter or Whine? All hydro's whine when under load, going up a steep hill in HI is not recommended. HI is road gear, and the flatter the land the better. But chatter sounds like trouble, Whine is normal. The whine gets slightly quieter when broken in. If you want to hear one really complain, leave the parking brake on and press the hydro pedal. A hydrostatic tractor sounds about like a bobcat skidsteer loader operating. A constant whining noise that increases with load whenever the Hydro pedal is pressed.

No it is not a whine. It will whine like they normally do, (this is my second Kubota), but this one sounds like a pump cavitation or that the pump is aerating. Downshifting to a lower gear will help, but I am suspicious of this chatter. The tractor hydraulic fluid is full, and it could simply be that I am not running the RPM high enough, but am trying to keep engine speed moderate until it gets broken in a bit more.

Hmm... does not sound good to me. I would call dealer, My hydro kubota has never had a chatter or anything like that.

I think too low RPM may be your answer. When I bought my Kioti, the dealer told me to always run it at least 2000 RPM for proper operation of the hydro trans.

I agree with James has written..... it certainly seems like I would call your dealer and let them know of your concern and see what they have to say about it.
