K5lwq: Thank you. I'll do that. I forgot to add this part: The circuit diagram shows that the fuel cut solenoid (and fuel pump) is energized whenever the key is in the ON or START positions as shown attached. When the key is turn on, the solenoid pulls the fuel cut lever which should allow fuel to flow. It seems to be doing what it's supposed to. But I will check it disconnected.

I've contacted the factory in The Czech Republic for a manual and maybe helpful information. Website Servis Diesel MOTORPAL

LouNY, I missed your posts while answering a prior post.

Yes, the electric fuel pump is working. You can hear the clicking in the video. And there are two manual pumps in the system which are also working; one on the fuel filter housing and the other on the injection pump. The one on the injection pump can be pumped a few strokes and then will only go part of a stroke due to the pressure build up. Pumping the one on the filter housing makes the sound of the electric pump change dramatically, apparently due to pressure buildup. I also verified that the flow from the bleeder at the bottom of the fuel filter flows faster with the electric pump on. I could put a gauge on it, but I'm pretty sure it's got pressure. And out the injector port is totally dry, like the fuel cut valve is closed.

Well, I don't quite understand it, but here's the story: I took off the rubber hose at the injection pump, ran the electric pump, and lots of fuel, as expected. I took the linkage off the fuel cut solenoid, compared the stroke to the lever, all appeared good. I tried to start with the linkage off, no start, as expected. Not knowing what else to do, I cranked with full throttle. I had tried this briefly before. But this time, to my surprise, fuel spilled from the two disconnected high pressure lines. I did it again and it fired up on the two remaining cylinders. I put it back together and no further trouble.

It seems like it got a big gulp of air, somehow, even though the tank was half full and the tractor was on level ground. Is it sucking air from somewhere?

I thought of one lesson for out-of-fuel bleeding that is obvious after thinking about it: Bleed at full throttle to get maximum flow through the system.
