Does anyone know if any company still makes a disc without bearings?

Are you referring to the type of bearings with small balls or rollers in them? If so my land pride disc does not have them. I suspect many do not. It just looks like they do.

P.S. Well it seems I made two mistakes. First one is that I have a woods brand and for my second mistake it does have sealed bearings.
Used to use a friends old disc and I had to do some work on it and I guess that the one I am remembering since I was surprised by assuming all would have bearings. No idea what brand it was.

I have a light duty Land Pride DH1048 - it has sealed ball bearings. Redlands Okie - check you owners manual - I'll bet you have sealed ball bearing also.

I have had a 4 ft. disc for several years that has no bearings what so ever. I bought it from a dealer in OKC who told me he recommended it because I only use it twice a year for deer plots. After about three hours of use, you just pump more grease in it. The dealer recommended it because he said only using it twice a year I would have problems with the bearings as it is stored in a large open shed and does get a lot of moisture. I am pretty sure it is a Chinese made implement, but, it has worked great and was dirt cheap. I am about to bet a much bigger tractor and will need a larger disc. I looked on line and could not find anything without bearings. By the way, I am buying a Mahindra and their discs have sealed bearings. Would that be okay stored in a wet environment as I can get it at a much reduced cost when buying the tractor.
Than you guys!

Rick, excuse my ignorance. I assume what I meant was ball bearings, am I correct?

I have a 6 ft. that's a good 25 plus years old that must be like your 4 ft . I use to load it up with cement blocks and haul it behind my m5700 until I got the 2650 . It has no roller bearings either just some grease fittings I grease once a year . It has had some use as we had market gardens at one time . I'm surprised it is still going strong seeing as this has what is called friction bearings and takes a lot of grease each time I do grease it .

Don’t think you’ll find a larger new disc with the cast bearings. I have a older Massey disc with sealed bearings, that has set out for the last 20 years, used to disc 4-5 acres a year or so and have not had any bearing failure.
