Nissan diesel forklift

First excuse me for my terminology ignorance. I hope that I will be able to be understood.
I have a Nissan 4.5ton forklift. it's engine is a 6 cyl. diesel. on the injector pump there is a solenoid that turns off the engine (I dont know it's correct name). anyhow, that solenoid (24V) needs to be replaced. its diementions are
about 2" dia. and almost 3" long. could you provide my a hint if and where I can find one (Ebay?) or a substitute? as far as I was able to see it only pulls a small lever that shuts off the engine, so I guess that with minor alteration
another solenoid - not the original - can be installed.

there should be a name and part number on the solenoid and or pump it is basically called a fuel shutdown solenoid one way it lets fuel in the other way shuts fuel off and engine stops also where are you located there should be a diesel injectoin shop close by i can send you to. if you cant find the number try to post picture especially with wiring diagram

Could you alter it to a cable stop, did that on my Peugeot after the solenoid failed and the key recognition electrical crap went down.

A Nissan forklift dealer will have it. You will need the complete model and serial #'s off the data plate.

Nissan dealer have it but they're asking an outrageously expansive price - more than $500. that why I'm looking for some sort of substitute.
