'Nickname' for a Soon to be Grandpa?

I am heading over in a few to start spoiling my grandson. Mendi has come down with a cold / fever, so "grandma" has to stay home. Poor thing is miserable. (Heehee, more time for me - no sharing the rocking chair with her!!).

Yep, I pretty much have the whole spoiling thing down pat. My wife and I baby sit our four year old all day and our six year old for a couple of hours after school.

My grandparents were a huge impact on my youth. They have all been gone for many years now so I honor their memory by using the same names we called them. MawMaw and PawPaw, or Ma and Pa for short. I also take being a grandparent very serious and try and make a positive impact on all my grandchildren.

I respect that! All of us grandkids called our only grandmother Shay, and we named on son Shayne after her.

My daughter and SIL gave my grandson my name (Dean) as his middle name Elisha Dean. What an honor! That was a birthday present to me last October. Talk about bringing tears to a grown man!

Mine came out as Dan Dan (baby lingo as grand - dad) and Nan Pillar (Miller). Number five is due in March and the names have stuck with us for seven years now.

Well folks, it's official. My grandson calls me grandpa. Nothing exotic or nicknamey...but let me tell you...my chest swelled to three times its size when little Eli said grandpa 4 times in a row!!!






Now I might happen to have a new grandson....wonder what he will call me

Congratulations, I have grand kids and two great grandsons. I am known as poppy, poppop, papaw, pawpaw, it changes from day to day.
