I called the owner because I just like these Yanmars of that era. He said the PO installed the extra tires and wheels to help with sandy conditions, although it is hard to steer, and the present owner took the fronts off. I like the looks of it, and it may not be practical. I would probably take the duals off completely for my use.

Just noticed your hometown, I was in Lancaster PA as an 18 yr old kid, my buddy and myself got a job at Champion Blower and Forge training to be welders, spot welding small blower housings together, then a man on a wire welder ran the finish bead around them. Of course I saw blowers that took a tractor- trailer to haul them, this was in 1965. Oh yes the 186D could probably float set up like that, maybe.
