Nice little article about the rising popularity of the sub cuts in this month's Newsweek. Says bigger tractors are becoming more popular with non farmers. Nice picture of a beautiful JD with FEL too. Sub Cuts are hot right now!

Yeah, go to any equip auction. I have seen some of the older JD's Masseys and old names sell for right at or more than they brought new. Seems 40 - 70HP tractors are extremely hot right now.
Hmmm....wonder what our old 720JD LPGas is worth? All it has run lately is the hay unroller and the wheeled boxblade.

That ain't no SubCUT in the Newsweek feature. I don't recognize the model exactly but its pretty clearly a newer model JD CUT.

I think any 50-70's era tractor will sell for more now than when it was new. I've seen ads in the past that show retail prices of those tractors when they were new. Now, they sounds like REAL BARGAINS!

Or course, trucks are the same. I bought a new F100 in 1972 and paid a HORRIBLE price, $4,000. Years later, bought another new truck in 91 for $18,000--again a HORRIBLE price! Couldn't image a pickup costing that much! And the rest is history.

That is the new JD 3203. It is their no frills HST model.
