Newby, looking for direction.

I am wanting to turn my fascination for antique farm equipment into a hobby. I do not know a whole heck of a lot, but am ready, willing and able to learn. My goal is to start collecting pieces and hopefully, buy, sell and/or, trade to help pay for the keepers, without a lot of money out of pocket. I am open for advice, comments and questions. I apreciate any feedback.

Thanks, to everyone who replied! It really makes a guy feel welcome. First Question; I am looking for opinions, or suggestions on the resale of antique equipment I have. I have 1, model 52 John Deere plow, with metal wheels, 1 horse drawn hay rake, and 2 McCormick Deering sickle mowers I am considering selling. Would I be better off selling them in the ruff, or clean them up and paint them with the original color scheme??? The are good for yard art only, they are not yet functional. Thanks, again!
